"Recovering the Artist"- An exciting New Show is on the Horizon

This year our annual Expressive Arts Week show is being transformed into a larger and more exciting venture than ever before. Working in partnership with NAMI San Diego, and the Creative Arts Consortium, we have sent out a call for artists who are in recovery from mental illness county wide, with the idea of creating a juried exhibition featuring the finest artists in the mental health community. This will be, to my knowledge, the most ambitious such show ever in San Diego. With community partnership and a broader base of artists, much has changed about this years offering, but one thing remains constant...The show is, as always, designed to focus upon and celebrate the art, rather than disability. "Recovering the Artist" will open November 4th from 5-8pm, and remain on display through the year's end. Come see it...
